Floater and runner in the paint over bigger defenders
Long distance shooting off the dribble
hands-up & stepback moves to get defenders off balance
About Jeff Teague
Jeff Teague is a 27 year-old American basketball star who currently plays for the NBA team, the Atlanta Hawks. His average was 22 points and 4 assists during his 2006-2007 senior year of high school. Teague lived in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Pike High School. After he graduated from high school, Teague was accepted into Wake Forest University and played for the Demon Deacons. He had the second-highest scores on the team during his freshman year and become a Wake Forest All-American as a sophomore. There have only been thirteen recipients of this award in the school’s history. He also made a record as a Demon Deacon when he made his 1000th point. Only 45 other people have done this while playing for the school. He was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, the Oscar Robertson Trophy and the John Wooden Award.
Teague wanted to be available for the 2009 NBA draft, so he announced that he would not be playing his last two seasons for Wake Forest University. He was 19th on the draft list in 2009 by the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks extended a multi-year contract to Teague, which he signed that summer. His first year, he enjoyed success in his playing statistics. When the Hawks played the Washington Wizard in the semi-conference finals, Teague had an average of 16.3 points and 7 assists. His team beat Washington with a score of 106 to 101. They tied the series at 2-2.
During the summer of 2013, the Milwaukee Bucks offered a four-year contract to Teague for a reported $32 million. While he was contemplating the terms of the offer, the Hawks matched the Bucks’ offer and Teague stayed with his team. In the spring of last year, he tied his all-time score of 34 points in a win over the Toronto Raptors. He won his first All-Star selection in January of this year. He was a reserve for the 2015 Eastern Conference All-Star Game.
